Self-Care Excerpt from Don't Weight

Wake Up Today and Ask ...

Your first thoughts in your day are important. Perhaps you have never noticed what it is, but you do think about something. Notice. Your first thoughts of the day matter. What you think about as you start your day is important. It can set the tone for your day. It can affect your success. I have some suggestions for questions that you might ask yourself upon awakening:

"What did I accomplish yesterday to be helpful?"

or

"What did I do yesterday that made me proud?"

or

"What did I do yesterday to make me be a better person?"

You choose the question that suits you. Make up your own that work for you. The idea is to start your day out with a SUCCESS on your mind. This is a small mental exercise. It may just help. Consciousness helps. Cultivate your appreciation of your positive actions. Start your day off with a question that increases your awareness of your success. When you are conscious of your success from yesterday, you are already on a positive track for today. Appreciate your successes from yesterday and you have planted the seeds for your successes today.
